Have the girl meet you, (perhaps speak to her about kneeling and then while she kneels nearby) welcome her to your house... initially you want to deal with the following 1. Check her avatar, clothing and hair. It is not our wish to have all girls look the same, for that reason we allow them to return to their initial look if they wish. This is most often an issue with girls who have been in SL for a little while and have already settled on the look. The newbies are usually most willing to change their look, many like the slave look we give them; that, with some changes to hair and skin, is very versatile (the shape itself is no mod). You should become familiar (very familiar) with the items that we offer them in the graduation box, from it you will be able to help them pick hair and skins. If I (Madame Trix) meet these types of girls at the update centre before they come to the brothel, I often tell them to take some time then or later to go through these looks trying them out until they find one they like. Other of these same newbie girls want you to pick a look for them. We do not usually spend a lot of money on a girl at this early stage, there is just too much chance of her leaving within the first few days, so use the stuff in the grad box. We can look at them again once they've been here for 10 days. Note, the shape they are wearing even as a newbie is probably modifiable and with some tweaks and a new skin and hair is often quite acceptable. You may need to help them with how to resize a hair so her scalp doesn't show through or adjust cuffs, brand and barcode so they show properly in the new shape. Remember, they are encouraged to remove their ankle cuffs after training, the reason is still valid, they can interfer with shoes that attach to the lower leg attachment point. There is a video in training about using add instead of wear to overcome this issue, make sure you know about it and pass on the info to them.
2. Answer her Questions One of the most common of these is, what next. Contrary to what most of you think, many of the girls complete training and do pay attention. They have learned the lessons or already knew some of the simple ones already. 3. Remind her to Friend the Dominants (you might want to have her friend her house sisters as well?) I know we shouldn't have to do this, but let's get passed that and recognize the reality. With the houses, you might want to include friending her sisters. I'm not sure how feasible this is, we'll have to see how things progress and how large the houses grow. (the houses may be an opportunity for us to get a better handle on how many actual active girls we have) While the girl is at the boards, have her check that she has one herself; she will not have to check every board just those that are lit as online. It seems that often they do not get a board automatically. Instruct her to touch the white square on the back of the top 20 board if she doesn't find her own board.
4. Instruct her about changing her Display Name and make sure that her profile includes her collar date. Her display name should include the house initials so she, you and other dominants can identify her house and style. The house initials (i.e.) HH, NH or BH should appear at the end of the display name as -XX- (that's dash, the house initials, dash)
5. Have her post an introduction in your group I envision this as a notecard that gets you some information about the girl's experience in SL or other IRC type environments. Her experience with BDSM virtually and in RL (do NOT obtain any RL identifying information) and her hopes for Toy Slaves. What are her expectations? What prompted her to join us?
